You can post a job in a variety of ways – it’s easy!

• Main Website: Visit our homepage at www.hiretrades.com.au and select the Trade service you require. In a few short steps give more details of the work required, provide your contact information then submit your job.
• Mobile App: Download our HIREtradesmobile app for your iPhone or Android smartphone. You post a job in the same manner as the website.

No. Your contact details will never be made public on the HIREtrades website. Only the three matched Tradies will receive your details, unless you ask for more.

HIREtrades require your information for account management purposes. Also when you post a job verified Tradies interested helping you with your job may request your details.

To keep the market competitive and protect your personal information, only a maximum of three HIREtrades Tradies can view your name and contact details, unless you ask for more. All you have to do is post your job and the Tradie will come to you.

After you post your job, we’ll forward your job description we will work our magic and match you with relevant Tradies in your area. You’ll also be able to use the message feature within the app and website, where you can send messages to the Tradie.

We will send you the Tradie’s details and ratings as we progressively match Tradies. If you have not had adequate responses within 24 hours, consider returning to your job and providing more details.

No. Your contact details will never be made public on the HIREtrades website. Only the three matched Tradies will receive your details, unless you ask for more.

Our Tradies usually respond to job postings within a few hours, so if no Tradies have expressed interest in quoting on your job within 24 hours, we contact you to suggest that you update your job. Jobs with very short descriptions often do not get a response from Tradies.

If you wish to change or update a job you have posted, log in to your account here or launch the HIREtrades app on your smartphone. Select ‘My Jobs’ from the menu to view the list of jobs you have posted on HIREtrades. Click ‘View’ on the job you wish to update and then the ‘Update job’ button.

You can update the job as often as you wish. Just be cautious that if you update after you have already received a quote that you may want to make sure that your quotes received properly reflect your request.

Yes, if you have photos to add, you should. Photos of your job will help Tradies better understand your job requirements and provide a more accurate quote. Tradies are also more likely to respond to a job that includes extra information, such as photos.

You should also add any plans, drawings or other images that could help the Tradies better understand your requirements. You can take and add photos directly from your smartphone using the HIREtrades mobile app.

The HIREtrades mobile app allows you to add photos to your job description with your iPhone or Android smartphone.

You can add photos to your job description at any time by launching the app and selecting your job from the ‘My Jobs’ section in the menu, then clicking on ‘View’.

If you have already selected a Tradie or do not require any more quotes for any reason, please amend your job posting by clicking the ‘Hire’ or ‘Archive/Cancel’ button so that our Tradies do not waste your time and theirs.

To do so, log in to your account here and select ‘Mhy Jobs’ from the menu to view the list of jobs you have posted on HIREtrades. Click the job you no longer require quotes for and click the ‘Hire’ or ‘Archive/Cancel’ button.

Yes. Jobs remain listed on our job boards for 3 months from the date of posting, or until we are informed that you have hired a Tradie, or wish to Archive/Cancel the job. Generally, if a job is not filled within 3 business days it lists down the job board. In such circumstances you could consider cancelling the job and posting a new one with more details to generate greater interest from Tradies.

After a Tradie is matched to your job we send you their details and a link to their profile page. When you post a job HIREtrades will email you ‘7 tips for making the right choice’.

Once you’ve chosen your Tradie, we ask you to do two things:

1. Please please amend your job posting by clicking the ‘Hire’ button so that our Tradies do not waste your time and theirs.

   To do so, log in to your account here and select ‘My Jobs’ from the menu to view the list of jobs you have posted on HIREtrades. Click the job you no longer require quotes for and click the ‘Hire’ button.

2. Rate your Tradie when the work is complete

To log in to your account, visit the www.hiretrades.com.au. Login by clicking the link on the menu bar using your email and password.

To view the jobs you’ve posted on our site, log in to your account or launch the HIREtrades mobile app on your smartphone and click ‘My Jobs’ from the dashboard menu. Select a job from the list to view more details.
